Golf Course Information
Description
Our 18 hole course can be seen with golfers year round in the sunny South Texas weather. The course measures 6541 yards from the championship tees with a 71.7 rating. The slope rating is 123. Fairways are common Bermuda and the greens are a Championship Bermuda that is similar in appearance and performance to bentgrass. The greens roll smooth and fast down in Palm Valley.
HCC proudly hosts top junior players from throughout Texas for the South Texas Junior Golf Classic. We are also the home of the Life Begins at Forty tournament; a match play event for players from around the country age 40 and older. This popular tournament maintains a waiting list to enter.
Many club tournaments take place monthly with the active Mens and Womens Golf Associations here at the club. MGA members compete in monthly tournaments with a different format each month. WGA members tee off every Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. in a shotgun start.
The Golf Pro on staff, Michael Fernuik, is a PGA member and is here to help you learn more about the game or just improve your game. Tee times can be booked starting two days before your requested time.
